Buddhism Photography
Across mountain monasteries, ancient pilgrimage routes, village temples, and city streets, Buddhism continues to unfold through the rhythms of everyday life, one ordinary moment at a time. These photographs from Myanmar, Nepal, Ladakh, India, and beyond explore the people, landscapes, rituals, and quiet moments that reveal the living presence of Buddhist tradition.
More than images of sacred places, this collection is an exploration of attention itself, the practice of slowing down, observing deeply, and finding meaning in the simple moments where devotion, humanity, and daily life meet.
Following in the Footsteps of the Buddha: Faith, Place, and Everyday Life
Buddhism is not only found within monasteries and sacred sites, but within the daily rhythms of those who carry its teachings forward. In quiet acts of devotion, the movement of pilgrims, the discipline of monastic life, and moments of reflection, these photographs explore how an ancient tradition continues to shape the present.
Buddhism as a Living Tradition
Buddhism is encountered here not only in monasteries, monuments, and sacred sites, but in ordinary acts of devotion: pilgrims walking together, monks moving through daily routines, families making offerings, ceremonies unfolding in public spaces, and communities gathering around traditions carried forward across generations.
Photographed across India, Nepal, Ladakh, and Myanmar, these images explore Buddhism as something lived rather than simply observed. These images show a spiritual tradition expressed through people, place, ritual, movement, and everyday life.
These images emerged through patience and presence—walking, waiting, and allowing moments to unfold naturally. The intention was not to capture an idea of Buddhism from the outside, but to observe the human experiences within it: devotion, contemplation, community, and the search for meaning.
